From time to time, I’ll mention books or other tools that have been interesting or helpful to me and my clients. When I mention those books and tools, I’ll likely include an affiliate link to an online vendor from whom you can purchase said book or tool.
What’s an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is basically a way to let the vendor know that I’m the one who mentioned the book or tool to you. If you follow the link to their site and make a purchase, I get a small amount of money from the vendor as a thank-you.
Following those links doesn’t add any money to your purchase price — you pay the same either way.
How do I know if it’s an affiliate link?
When something is an affiliate link, I’ll always make it clear by saying something like (affiliate link) and linking to this page. On the library page, all “buy this book” buttons are affiliate links.
Have people asked you to recommend these books?
I haven’t yet encountered anyone asking me to recommend a book or review a book. If that happens, I’ll make sure to let you know.
I’m also not going to tell you a book is great if I think it’s crap. I’m too opinionated for that.
